The legendary Alex Lifeson of Rush shares what it means to inspire other musicians like Dave Grohl and Richard Fortus.

The legendary Tracii Guns joins to talk L.A. Guns' new album "Leopard Skin" and dive deep into his musical journey, including how Guns N' Roses first formed. How does he feel about Guns' 40th anniversary? We spotlight the forgotten O.G. of GN'R, the late Ole Beich.
The legendary Alex Lifeson of Rush joins. We chat his band Envy of None, their new album "Stygian Wavz," and what it means to inspire other musicians. Then, "Shotgun News!" - You and I discuss Isaac Carpenter becoming the new drummer of Guns N' Roses. Plus, I read your emails for "Mr. Mailstone"
"I think what you are doing is great. I was telling my wife last night about how much I’ve gotten out of listening."
“I always enjoy connecting to those who avoid the obvious pedestrian cliche rockisms and who will converse with intelligence...kudos. That makes for a worthwhile broadcast.“
“Brando was hands down my favorite interviewer.”
"Appetite for Distortion is probably the best name for a podcast that I've ever heard in my life."
Appetite For Distortion is one of my fav listens and fav hangs. Brando is always good company and we always have a blast chatting about everything, anything and sometimes even nothing (usually my fault). The man is a deep well of knowledge in all things Rock N Roll and not just in the vast history of the far reaching GNR family tree. Do yourself a favor and tune in!
I think this was the best interview I've ever done. We need Harrison in all my interviews, I love it.
" "Appetite For Distortion" is NOT the usual "Double Talkin' Jive" -- so if you're a Guns N' Roses fan like me, "You're Crazy" if you don't check out Brando's podcast. "It's So Easy," all we need is just a little "Patience.""
Brando....I consider you a friend. AFD is a no nonsense and informative podcast from a non-biased fan who truly appreciates the talent, magic and excitement that Gun N' Roses delivers.
My favorite podcast & I'm not even a big podcast guy! Brando asks fun & entertaining questions that most importantly are compassionate towards the guests, something not always common in this format.
Alan Niven lifted the lid on so many interesting anecdotes on GNR past and present, among so many other topics - such an erudite and learned stalwart of the music industry, I was rapt while listening to his responses during three amazing interviews which were complemented by Brando’s expert questioning, I share them with every rock n’ roll fan. Thank you for all your great work, Brando
Loved David Wild the best. He's personally sat and talked to Axl on multiple occasions. A real inside look at things, i.e. the Halloween party, in the studio, etc. Fabulous guest on more than one occasion
I don’t listen to podcasts, but I make an exception for this one. I love the one where Dave Navarro talked about his mental health struggles.
I've loves the interviews with fans after gnr concerts. Always great to get different perspectives from fans all over the world
Josh Freese was great. Probably the most information we’ve ever gotten from those early CD years.
The Alan Niven & Doug Goldstein interviews were great - Josh Freese was cool. There’s been alot of great interviews dude.. the guys from Scooby Doo (or was it the other cartoon), Dave Kushner, Brain was always great. Keep up the good work.
This is the best rock podcast. My favorite guests are Mick Wall and Allen Niven. Among many others. Intelligent and informative conversations all.
"I don't care about podcasts. Yours is the only one I follow. Not because it's gnr themed (there are lots out there), but you're a GREAT host and your interviews are very well conducted, respectful and really light-hearted. Now with baby brownstone as a co-host it's got cuter too!"
You do an excellent job, and your work is very much appreciated. I love how you keep it informal, bring a large variety of GN'R guests (from fans to band members, when you're allowed to get them ;), and I can only imagine all of the hard work you put in to keep your show running. Please keep up the great work! :)
